In 2017, Dallas received the prestigious Sir Arthur Clarke Award for his work in popularizing space science, history and education to a wide audience.  He is also an Honorary Fellow of the British Science Association.

Richard is a Member of the Inner Magic Circle, a Director of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and has created psychology-based YouTube videos that have attracted over 500 million views.
