Inspiring the next generation through workshops!

Who are we?

With over 40 years of experience, STEMPOINT (formally SETPOINT Hertfordshire) has been inspiring young minds through dynamic, high-quality STEM workshops for primary schools.

Our sessions are packed with hands-on activities that ignite curiosity, build confidence, and bring STEM subjects to life in ways that are fun, engaging, and easy to understand.

We help pupils discover the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths, showing them how these subjects shape the world around us and open the door to future possibilities. By making real-world connections, we broaden horizons, raise aspirations, and encourage children to explore their potential in STEM.

Working closely with schools, we support teachers, enhance the curriculum, and create unforgettable learning experiences that leave a lasting, positive impression on pupils, inspiring them long after the workshop ends. Don’t just take our word for it, see teachers quotes below!

Why workshops matter..

An introduction from Helen Bailey - Our workshop lead for over 10 years

“With many years of experience leading a team that deliver primary STEM workshops, my focus has always been on delivering engaging, meaningful hands on learning that supports teachers and leaves children excited to learn more. Even if children do not take up STEM careers, STEM learning helps them build confidence, curiosity and the skills they need to thrive as individuals.”

Hear from our teachers..

The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and learnt a lot about electricity, they especially enjoyed the practical side of the workshop. Thank you so much!

It was a good mixture of presentation, talk, practical and explanation. Students were engaged throughout. Good pace too.

We really enjoyed the workshop, but the best bit was having the equipment, tents, periscopes etc. which we just cant provide as a school.

What a lovely start to the week. Thank you ladies. A good, fun way to recall previous learning.

Become a Workshop helper today !

We are grateful to our team of STEM workshop leaders and helpers who have signed up to deliver STEM activities to pupils across the region.

Our workshops allow schools to offer more interactive, hands-on experiences. These moments matter. They shape future interests, careers, and confidence.

As a STEM workshop helper, you’ll gain new skills, give back, and make a real difference.

In 2025 over 154 workshops took place in a school in our region and we hope to increase this during 2026/2027 but without the support from you we cannot achieve this.
